Faculty Positions Available

We are looking to recruit faculty members at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor rank.

We seek outstanding scientists with a strong record of significant research accomplishments in the fields of: glial biology, metabolism, epigenetics, gut/brain communication, environmental effects on brain structure and behavior, interfacing nanotechnology or photonics with neurobiology. We are also interested in candidates with a strong background in Bioinformatics, Bayesian Network Analysis and large data integration.

Postdoctoral Fellow Position available in the Casaccia Lab

Effective immediately we are seeking postdoctoral candidates with expertise in microbiome analysis, metabolism and metabolomics. The candidate will be part of a team studying gut/brain interaction. Expertise with large data set analysis is strongly preferred. The ideal candidate will have both a computational and wet lab training.

Research Associate Position available in the Casaccia Lab

We are seeking PhD level Research Associate to work under the Director of the Neuroscience Initiative to perform experiments related to environmental effects on white matter structures.

Candidates will assist in IACUC related submission and keep accurate documentation relative to approvals, deadlines, protocol submission. They will also coordinate experiments requiring animal models and ensure accurate breeding strategies of transgenic mice. They will contribute to the establishment of models for neurodegeneration and follow up experiments leading to the development of diagnostics and therapeutics. Collaborative personality and a passion for scientific research is required.

Experience in electrophysiological recordings, optogenetics, complex neurosurgeries and anesthetic procedures is strongly preferred.
