Li-Ting Sandy Chien
Li-Ting Sandy Chien is a research associate in Dr. Patrizia Casaccia’s group in the Neuroscience Initiative at CUNY Advanced Science Research Center. Prior to joining the ASRC, Sandy has been teaching STEM to minority children in New Jersey and the San Francisco Bay Area. Sandy gained her Ph.D. in Neuroscience from Emory University under the supervision of Dr. Criss Hartzell. Her doctoral research focused mainly on the molecular and functional characterization of a chloride-conducting membrane protein that is associated with retinal degeneration.
